Euractiv is a household name in the EU newsmedia, covering European affairs and holding powers to account for over 25 years. Two years ago, Mediahuis acquired Euractiv and has since then been attracting new talent to support its expansion strategy. In order to grow the Euractiv brand as well as the products, we are keen to welcome you as a seasoned marketing & communications manager.  You will play a pivotal role in positioning the brand and the different subbrands of Euractiv.  
 
Focus points of the role: 
 
Brand positioning: 
  • Develop strategy & plan for brand awareness 
  • Coordinate the (re-)branding process in agreement with the leadership of the company 
  • Brand identity: deliver & maintain brand assets for the diverse teams 
Communications: 
  • Develop & execute a plan to make Euractiv the talk of town with a diversity of original ideas. High focus on both product launch roadmap and customer growth.
  • Author of a daring & smart communication plan for the Euractiv outlets: Pro, Advocacy Lab, Jobs, Multimedia 
  • Campaign planning across diverse channels, particularly on social but also offline media (events, guerilla marketing...) 
  • Copywriting: create attractive narratives for each campaign and work closely with newsroom for campaign text revision 
  • Smooth collaboration with the marketing coordinators for the execution of the plan, more specifically in digital marketing 
  • Manage the relation with the communication agency: assure a high quality of the delivered assets 
  • Stakeholder management: include management & editor in chief for validation of different milestones 
  • PR & sponsoring: team up with partners where Euractiv should be represented or can unlock sales potential 
  • Manage the internal communications 
Events: 
  • Come up with bright events concepts for the roadmap 
  • Work closely together with the events team and marketing coordinators for the execution 
Collaborations: 
 
  • Audience management to attract new readers 
  • Pro team: sales materials, pipeline increase, user engagement and customer satisfaction.  
  • Advocacy Lab/Multimedia: branding & community building  
  • Jobs: branding & product communication 
Manage a sizeable marketing budget

Profile: 
  • A skilled marketing professional with business acumen and a hands-on approach. 
  • A professional who’s able to formulate a comprehensive marketing communications strategy based on quantified targets and who has a 6th sense for communication tactics 
  • A passionate for superior branding, with a proven record on development of communication strategies and working with communication agencies. 
  • A native English speaker with excellent copywriting skills. 
  • An avid reader of news media who enjoys working along with editors and content creators. 
  • A team player that’s not only able to self-start but also to foster collaboration with teams; the marketing colleagues, the editorial & the commercial team.    
  • You’re flexible in your workflow: a careful planner as well as an agile actor when a sudden opportunity arises
