Reporter trainee to cover EU agriculture and food policy (based in Berlin)

To strengthen our editorial team in Brussels, we are currently recruiting a Journalist (Intern) to join our team in Berlin covering a variety of topics related to agriculture.

The ideal candidate will be expected to deliver help cover news stories focusing on national agricultural and food policy and and how its implications for the EU.

Tasks include:

  • Monitoring media and EU policy announcements
  • Doing research on relevant topics
  • Writing stories
  • Conducting interviews

Profile:

  • Interest in writing articles, blogs, briefings or other journalistic content. Previous journalistic experience will be considered
  • Native German. Good proficiency and writing skills in English.
  • General understanding of EU institutions, policies, legislation, and procedures
  • Proven knowledge or interest in agriculture and food policies.

Euractiv offers:

  • Insights into the work of a Brussels-based media, specialised in EU affairs

  • 6 months to one year contract under German law (voluntary internship). Paid internship. First 6 months, salary of 1.120€. Second 6 months, salary of 1.400€.
