We are now looking for a German Translator Trainee (EN to DE) – Brussels

(Starting Date: as soon as possible)

Profile:

  • German mother tongue
  • Background (degree) in translation, politics or journalism with strong language skills in English and German
  • Proactive, open-minded, flexible and a team-player
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Highly-motivated and able to face tight deadlines
  • Beneficial experience: traineeship at EU institution or similar, editing experience in English and German, or work experience in or knowledge of other languages

Responsibilities include:

  • Translation of articles and subtitling of video content from English to German
  • Helping with editing articles and adapting content in line with the editorial strategy
  • Communicating with the editorial team on the progress of translations and participating in weekly editorial meetings
  • Assisting with the translation of the morning newsletters before they are sent

Euractiv offers:
