Technical Project Manager & Artificial Intelligence Architect (m/f)
Exploiting the latest advances in AI to fast-track the development of the Channel and its digital properties, while responding to new user patterns. Coming up with responsible, innovative solutions to improve our tools and products and sharing these improvements with other players in the sector. These are the challenges we are offering you, as part of a newly-created team, over the next years.
The team is expected to be part of a strategic ARTE initiative and will be made possible thanks to specific public funding. This support will enable the project to be implemented for a defined funding period, at the end of which the project will end.
As Technical Project Manager & AI Architect (m/f), you will be responsible for the technical vision and operational monitoring of these projects. You will design sustainable and scalable architectures, supervise the data flows and their governance in order to feed the AI models, ensure their seamless integration with our existing systems and coordinate the technical teams involved to achieve concrete and impactful results.
Your duties
- Design and develop scalable AI architectures, integrating the latest technologies such as LLMs, multimodal models and agentic frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate the development teams using a lean and agile approach.
- Supervise the integration of solutions into existing systems (SI programme, Video Asset Management, Data Lake, editing back offices, arte.tv).
- Guarantee the quality, performance and scalability of the solutions implemented.
- Set up an active technology watch to identify and evaluate innovations that might accelerate ongoing projects.
Your strengths
- You combine a solid command of AI technologies with the ability to explain complex architectures in a clear and accessible way.
- You are able to identify and prioritise high value-added actions and turn them into tangible results.
- You know how to coordinate multi-skilled technical teams while taking stakeholders' needs into account.
- Being pragmatic, you are comfortable designing and developing technical solutions yourself if necessary.
- You are able to analyse technical risks accurately and propose appropriate solutions.
- Thanks to your critical and analytical mindset, you are able to distinguish the relevant opportunities from the mere trends brought about by the rapid and tumultuous evolution of technological potential.
Your profile
- IT degree or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years' professional experience in technical project management.
- Good knowledge of French and/or German; fluency in English essential.
- Established track record in the development of AI systems and architectures (LLM, multimodal models, RAG, ML-Ops).
- Proven expertise in setting up agentic workflows and autonomous systems.
- Good command of cloud environments and modern technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless Computing, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD).
- Experience in the media sector is a plus.
