Are you curious about how media outlets generate revenue while delivering quality information to their audiences? Do you want to learn how to monitor the EU affairs media market and provide insights that foster partnership opportunities?

If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, you could be the person we're looking for.

We are seeking a Brussels-based trainee to support our team with EU affairs media competition analysis. Your responsibilities will also include client management through Salesforce CRM, along with additional support for the New Business department

The ideal candidate will have an interest in EU Affairs, excellent communication skills, and be capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are excited by new challenges, this role could be a great fit for you.

Main responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the EU Affairs market, and providing insights about stakeholders
  • Media landscape monitoring and competition analysis
  • Providing input for partnership development pitches and proposals
  • Supporting the development of outreach and marketing strategies
  • Assistance in presentations for clients and prospects
  • Managing and updating commercial databases through Salesforce CRM
  • Assisting daily with office management and administrative tasks.

Profile:

  • University education: Communications, digital marketing, business management, EU studies, media studies
  • Knowledge of/Interest in the “EU Affairs” market in broader sense, i.e. corporations, industry federations, civil society and consultancies
  • Excellent command of English spoken/written (and ideally French or German)
  • Digital and internet savvy 
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Able to face tight deadlines 
  • Proactive, flexible, detailed oriented
  • Open to new challenges and opportunities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team carrying out multiple tasks or projects

Euractiv offers:

  • Work in a multicultural environment
  • 6 months to one-year contract under Belgian law (CIP). Paid internship. First 6 months salary of 1.120€. Second 6 months salary of 1.400€.
