Events Assistant
The European Biogas Association is looking for an Events Assistant!
The European Biogas Association (EBA) is the voice of sustainable biogases in Europe and is committed to the expansion of sustainable biogas and biomethane production and use throughout the continent. We are a growing association representing over 300 members including national associations, corporate members, and research institutes, spanning 35 countries.
As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Events Assistant as part of a 10 month paid internship, to support the implementation of the EBA’s events and outreach strategy on a full-time basis. You will be a part of the communication team.
We offer an energetic working environment within a multicultural team in Brussels and full immersion experience in a European industry association. The position is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with interest in renewable energy to start a career as Event Assistant, developing knowledge on corporate PR, communications and marketing.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The candidate will assist the EBA team on the implementation of EBA’s Events and Outreach strategy. His/her main responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to the organization of the European Biomethane Week 2025 (EBA’s flagship annual event with +700 expected attendees), which will take place from 13 to 17 October in Autoworld, Brussels.
- Be involved in the organization of training sessions for the European Renewable Gas Training Centre.
- Assist on the implementation of other EBA webinars, as well as in-person workshops and meetings;
- Carry out EBA dissemination activities related to EU projects;
- Support other tasks related to the EBA Communications Strategy as required.
Profile
- Degree in Marketing Communications, Public Relations or Event Organisation;
- Proven experience on the organisation of webinars, events and meetings;
- IT-savvy with knowledge of Office 365, Zoom, CMS, webinar and marketing tools will be highly desired;
- Ability to communicate with different audiences (e.g. members, decision-makers, partners, external providers);
- Interest in European Affairs, renewable energy, climate mitigation and adaptation, and circular economy;
- Dynamic, self-starter, organised, attentive to detail, eager to learn;
- Excellent command of English, any other European language will be considered an asset;
- Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
