About the role
As part of our brand-new programme ‘Catalyst’ for Ecsite members, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to support the Communications, Membership & Partnerships team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for anyone who enjoys organisation, communicating and being at the centre of team operations. The intern will help ensure smooth daily functioning while contributing to member and partner engagement, communications output and event support.
Key responsibilities
Supporting a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks for the new programme ‘Catalyst’ for Ecsite members, including:
• Organising and setting up meetings and managing invitations
• Preparing, compiling and sending membership communications
• Preparing and contributing to mailings
• General administrative support to the team
• Posting and updating events, news and more on the Ecsite website
• Assisting with social media and other communications channels
• Updating the Ecsite website
• Assisting in the development of a CRM tool and member portal
• Providing all-round support during the 2027 Ecsite Flagship Event and Trade Show
Qualifications and skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Highly organised and accurate with a strong attention to detail
• A strong listener and clear communicator
• Comfortable working with Excel
• Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines
• Curious and proactive in finding solutions
• Able to understand both the details and the bigger picture
Previous work experience (including student jobs or volunteering) is considered an asset

Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU and able to live and work in Belgium during their internship. The candidate should be able to start immediately.
