The RoleÂ
EuropeActive is looking for a motivated and creative Communications Intern to join its Brussels-based team for six months.
The intern will primarily support communications for EREPS, the European Register of Exercise Professionals, helping to strengthen its digital presence and engagement with exercise professionals, education providers and partners.
You will also support EuropeActive’s wider communications channels, website, newsletter, Highlights magazine and events. This internship offers practical experience across content creation, digital communications, publishing and event support within an international European association.
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
EREPS and Digital Communications
- Create and schedule written and visual content for EREPS social media and digital channels.
- Support communications promoting professional registration, education, career development and professional standards.
- Identify relevant stories, updates and topics for the EREPS community.
- Help maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual identity.
EuropeActive Content and Publications
- Support content creation for EuropeActive’s social media and digital channels.
- Contribute to the EuropeActive newsletter and Highlights magazine by gathering content, drafting short texts and proofreading.
- Create visuals, presentations, short videos and other communications materials.
- Adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
Website and Event Support
- Update content across the EREPS and EuropeActive websites, including news, resources and event information.
- Review website pages to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Support communications for EuropeActive events, including webpages, speaker announcements, programme updates and social media content.
- Provide on-site communications support where required.
Monitoring and Team Support
- Monitor social media, website and newsletter performance.
- Support communications planning, reporting and content calendars.
- Work closely with the Communications Officer, Communications Manager and colleagues across EuropeActive.
What You BringÂ
Essential
- You are currently enrolled in a university programme and able to provide an internship agreement, or you are eligible for a CIP contract in Belgium.
- You have a strong interest in communications, digital marketing, public relations or content creation.
- You have excellent written and spoken English.
- You can write clearly and adapt content for different audiences.
- You are organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
- You are comfortable working independently and as part of an international team.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools.
- Experience with social media, email marketing or website-management platforms.
- Basic photography or video-editing skills.
- An interest in fitness, physical activity, professional education or European affairs.
- Additional European languages.
