Every project you progress will change lives across Europe.
Are you experienced in managing projects and budgets, preferably in relation to operations funded by donor grants? Do you have strong drafting, analytical and relationship building skills? Then you can play a key part in implementing EU grant and multi-donor funded projects for a multinational development bank with a unique social mandate.
Bringing together 43 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Strengthening social cohesion and building thriving communities in Europe, we drive inclusive growth, bolster economic sustainability – and create exceptional careers.
Strengthening our New Instruments and EU Programmes Team, you will support a growing project portfolio as you plan and monitor activity, ensure adherence to contractual, financial and operational objectives, and conduct regular progress reviews. At the same time, you will develop proposals for upcoming projects, negotiate contracts and grant agreements and prepare detailed documentation whilst identifying opportunities for new programmes of activity, particularly with the European Commission, making you central to our vital mission.
To join us, you should bring:
- A postgraduate qualification in social sciences, economics, international development or a related discipline.
- Expertise in drafting terms of reference and managing technical assistance.
- Familiarity with EU institutions and their operations.
- Willingness to take the initiative to seize new opportunities.
- Proven ability to build effective networks of contacts.
- Full fluency in English or French, backed by some command of the other language.
- Some understanding of development banking and grant co-financing (ideal but not essential).
