EVENTS MANAGER

at UNIFE - the European Rail Supply Industry Association

Position

We are looking for an experienced Brussels based communications manager with the ability to organise promotional, business and social events and handle a number of diverse projects and tasks dealing with UNIFE’s online and offline communication activity.

As our event coordinator, you’ll be essential in the event planning process as well as the execution of events, ensuring a smooth and successful experience. Your skills and experience will help UNIFE enhance its brand image, engage with its target audiences, and achieve its mantra: Building the future of rail TOGETHER!

Profile

  • Proven 5 years work experience in event management, with Communications background
  • C2 English proficiency level, command of French or Dutch is a plus
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task and re-prioritise as needed
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Capable of working independently as well as within the team
  • Self-motivated and detail-minded
  • Based in Brussels

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Coordinate the planning, organisation and logistics of our physical, hybrid and online events (from the development stage, right through to running the event while assuring they are delivered on time and within budget)
  • Coordinate UNIFE’s presence at fairs across Europe
  • Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our events
  • Prepare, manage and follow-up on event budgets, invoices and related transactions
  • Maintain close coordination with event partners, managing contracts with service providers, including venues, caterers, audiovisual teams and content providers
  • Manage event communication and outreach, ensuring timely dissemination of invitations, programs and follow-ups
  • Handle event registrations and attendee communication
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
