Euractiv is looking for experienced editors across an array of subject areas, including tech, energy, agriculture and health. The ideal candidate will be expected to plan, drive, and coordinate the coverage of their policy area for professionals, while also translating key developments for a general audience.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and drive the assigned policy coverage
- Edit the daily newsletter attached to the policy area
- Manage a team of up to five reporters
- Write breaking news stories, interviews, as well as in-depth and background articles for a specialised audience
- Conduct interviews with high-level officials, including EU Commissioners, MEPs, business leaders and policy experts
Profile:
- At least five years of experience in journalism
- Strong English writing skills
- Proven understanding of EU policy and institutions
- Ability to deliver accurate stories in a fast-paced environment
- Hard-working, able to respect tight deadlines, entrepreneurial
- Other European languages are an asset
What we offer:
This is a full-time employment contract under Belgian law (“contrat à durée indéterminée”), with salary and responsibilities commensurate to the candidate’s level of experience.
