We are seeking a Camera Operator / Video Editor (f/m/d) for our DW Brussels Studio in Belgium as of 1 March 2025 or as soon as possible on the basis of a full-time local staff contract limited for two years.

Your challenges

  • responsible for filming, editing and final production of news, reports and feature stories to be broadcast on the DW TV program and social media channels
  • coordinating video production working closely with the producers and correspondents of the studio in Brussels
  • filming and editing footage and video material
  • compiling video footage for web and DW’s social media platforms

Your qualifications

  • university degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification
  • previous experience as camera operator familiar with the use and maintenance of different video camera systems (Sony Pxw Z280, Cannon C-series, Panasonic EVA1), GoPros, and drones
  • comfortable working with Premiere Pro and Avid
  • versed in audio recording
  • strong visual story telling skills
  • excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach
  • professional language proficiency in English required, knowledge of French or Dutch desirable, German an advantage
  • ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
  • willingness to travel across the European Union
