About Metal Packaging Europe

Metal Packaging Europe (https://metalpackagingeurope.org) is a Brussels-based industry association, which brings together manufacturers, suppliers and national associations, to promote the benefits of rigid metal packaging at European level.

 

About the role

We are offering a full-time paid EU Advocacy and Communications internship for a period up to 6 months starting on 15 February 2025. You would support the European Affairs and Communications teams.

 

Your tasks:

  • Support the European Affairs team with monitoring of relevant EU policies, research and drafting background material on EU policy and activities.
  • Support the Communication Manager with drafting materials for communication activities (e.g., social media, website, newsletter, press releases, etc). 
  • Participate at external meetings and events and draft notes.
  • Prepare and draft minutes of internal meetings.
  • Support the organization of MPE events and other activities of MPE secretariat.

 

Profile:

The ideal candidate

  • has a relevant degree, such as Communications, Political Science, European Affairs or equivalent.
  • has knowledge of European policymaking and experiences in legal research.
  • is a strong writer and editor and able to prepare reports and news.
  • is experienced with digital and social campaigns and tools.
  • is attentive to detail, autonomous, efficient, with high level of flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • is fluent in both written and spoken English – any additional EU language is an asset.
  • has pro-active ‘hands-on’ approach to work to manage several simultaneous tasks.
  • has Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
