Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Policy Officer to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will monitor and analyse EU energy policies, regulatory developments, and legislative initiatives, providing actionable insights to ensure alignment with PPC’s strategic goals and sustainability commitments. You will play an active role in shaping PPC’s engagement with the EU energy agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse EU energy policy, regulatory developments, and legislative initiatives.
- Attend EU institutional hearings, stakeholder meetings, and industry events, providing detailed reports on key developments.
- Assess the implications of EU policies and draft briefings, position papers, and strategic recommendations.
- Prepare high-quality policy papers and advocate for policy priorities, including proposing amendments to draft policies where necessary.
- Engage in advocacy efforts, supporting the company's position in energy, climate, and sustainability matters.
- Contribute to project-related content creation and ensure alignment with policy developments.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional experience in EU policy analysis, with a focus on energy, climate, or related sectors.
- A Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, Engineering, EU Studies, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of European legislative processes, particularly in energy, climate, and environmental policy.
- Familiarity with EU energy policies and key energy markets (Southeast Europe’s energy landscape is considered an advantage).
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Greek or other EU languages is an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with professional use of social media platforms.
