Policy and Events Assistant
The EEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering open and informed dialogue on energy policy between MEPs, industry stakeholders, and public institutions.It endorses the values of political and technological neutrality. It does not take any position nor issue public statements.
Role
As Policy and Events Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our small, dedicated team, reporting directly to the Director General. Your key responsibilities will include (not exclusively):
- Legislative monitoring: Monitoring the EU legislative process in energy, climate and transport-related fields; reporting on and summarizing key legislation
- Event planning and coordination: Planning, organizing and implementing timely events and discussions on essential topics. Manage logistics, including invitations, registrations, participant lists, databases, presentations, and follow-ups and ensure seamless event experience.
- Communication and content creation: Draft invitations, write unbiased summaries of discussions, create engaging content for our social media channels, managing the website content and contribute to annual reports and other printed materials.
- Sector expertise: Manage projects related to the gas sector, CCUS, carbon removals, energy-intensive industries,…
- Team collaboration: Engage in daily teamwork, contributing to the vibrant life of our small office, and build strong relationships with our members.
Requirements
- A university degree with a strong interest in energy, EU policy and event managment
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with EU institutions and energy-related topics is essential.
- Excellent English proficiency with strong communication skills, and a good knowledge of French.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and drafting abilities. A proactive, can-do attitude paired with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (MS Office, email, web conferencing tools) and in managing online content. Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Brevo, ...
- Must be eligible to work and live in Brussels. It is a full-time position.
