About Us:

We are looking for an experienced and talented Strategic Communications Director to support a leading Member of the European Parliament (MEP) in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. If you have a passion for communication, are an unapologetic tech optimist, and have a keen understanding of the EU’s political landscape - we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that translate the MEP’s vision into impactful messaging.
  • Draft creative and powerful communications, including speeches, press releases, and social media content.
  • Monitor global political trends and anticipate shifts in the EU, tech & competitiveness landscape to inform communication strategies. 
  • Stay highly informed on global events, EU policies, and the digital agenda. 
  • Maintain an extensive and active network among the media, stakeholders, institutions and governments. 
  • Take complex political and policy details, and craft clear and focused narratives. 
  • Utilize social media platforms to influence public opinion and engage with constituents and stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the policy and social media team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in strategic communications with the ability to create persuasive messaging tailored to multiple audiences (minimum 5 years). 
  • Outstanding writing skills, with a flair for drafting creative content that connects.
  • Strong foresight in a political environment, with the capability to anticipate and respond to emerging trends.
  • Understanding of EU policy making and how EU institutions function; familiarity with the digital and competitiveness agendas is desirable.
  • Strong networking skills and relationships with the media. 
  • A passion for social media and a track record of using it to drive engagement and influence outcomes.
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and is willing to travel.
