Job title: Project Financial Controller

Salary: From €60.000 to €68.000 gross p.a.

Contract terms: Permanent CDI contract

Contract hours: 5 days / week – 38 hours / week

Work conditions: Office environment in Brussels – remote not possible

Start: As soon as possible

 

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day financial management;
  • Input all entries into the general ledger, including staff costs, processing suppliers’ invoices, and taxes;
  • Processing and verifying bank payments.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts with bank statements.
  • Monitor, register and verify project expenditures, timesheets, payslips, and other documents needed to comply with EU rules.
  • Support the internal and external audit process, including preparing information for auditors.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the budget and project financial reports.

Profile:

  • Mandatory: University degree (BSc) in accountancy, economics, finance, business administration (an MSc is a plus);
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in accounting and/or financial project management;
  • Experience working in an international context;
  • Knowledge of FP7, H2020, Lif, etc. funding and financing rules is desirable;
  • Working knowledge of accounting software is an asset;
  • Good time management – able to work under strong pressure and dedicated to meet deadlines.

The candidate should be eligible to work in Belgium.

Language:          English (excellent).
