About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development & Project Manager (Freelance) with a deep understanding of the innovation ecosystem, particularly focusing on startups, early-stage investors, and innovative entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in navigating the intricacies of EU institutions, with a strong network in Brussels and relevant organizations. If you possess an entrepreneurial and business development mindset, excel at problem-solving, and have a track record of successful project management within the EU context and innovation/entrepreneurship ecosystem, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Coordinate Projects: Develop comprehensive project timelines, ensuring alignment with budget, scope, and overall objectives.
  • Monitor Project Deliverables: Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring that milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress to relevant stakeholders, including clients, team members, and other key participants.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities for the organization, leveraging your network and understanding of EU institutions.
  • Event Management: Organize and manage key events, ensuring they align with project goals and contribute to the broader strategy.
  • Project Implementation: Manage the daily implementation and management of ongoing projects, work packages, and tasks, including facilitating further spin-off projects as part of the project activity dissemination, communication, and exploitation/replication activities.
  • Work mode: Remote with occasional travel.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales and project management, particularly within the innovation ecosystem or EU projects.
  • Knowledge & Networks: Excellent understanding of EU institutions, with a robust network in Brussels and other relevant organizations.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. French language is an advantage.
  • Travel Flexibility: No restrictions on travel within and outside the EU.
  • Skillset: Strong business acumen in project planning, management, business development, and sales; exceptional problem-solving abilities; entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
