Your team

Within the Directorate Central Route Charges Office and Finance, the Agency Procurement team manages all processes and services related to procurement, agreements and the Mission Office in cooperation with key Agency stakeholders, Business Directorates and DP.

Your role

PURPOSE OF THE TRAINEESHIP

This traineeship will provide an opportunity to work in the Procurement department. You will use your skills to provide support and gain professional experience in the procurement activity notably that of the buyer function which includes among others the preparation and launch of simpler procurement procedures (call for tenders etc) and contracts. In addition, the traineeship will also provide the opportunity to work on some agreements not falling under the scope of the EUROCONTROL Contract Regulations. The traineeship would be of an initial period of 6 months, with a possible extension of up to 6 more months.

MAIN LEARNING OBJECTIVES & TASKS

Your role in the team will be to:

  • Act as team member in the Procurement Unit taking care of daily duties assigned to you;
  • Contribute to the procurement execution and supplier management;
  • Support technical managers with their needs;
  • Assist with public procurement procedures (e.g., call for interest, call for tenders etc.);
  • Aid in the drafting of legal documents (e.g., legal contracts).

DESIRED DURATION

From 6 to 12 months.

Your profile

  • Completed university studies of 3 years in law;
  • Contractual drafting skills or knowledge of contract law would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of European or International law or Procurement law would be an advantage;
  • Meticulous approach document preparation;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;
  • Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change,
  • customer focus, integrity and team-player approach;
  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, thorough knowledge of both languages is required.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for any of our traineeship, you must comply with all of the following conditions:

  • Nationality: You must be a national of one of the EUROCONTROL or ECAC Member States;
  • Education: You are currently studying for a post-secondary educational qualification (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD level). If you have graduated, the traineeship must start within one year after your date of graduation.
  • Language skills: Our working languages are English and French. To do a traineeship, you will need to have a good command of English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of French is a great asset, but not always a must.
  • No previous traineeships longer than 6 months at EUROCONTROL: Individuals with previous traineeships at EUROCONTROL lasting less than 6 months are eligible to apply. If you have completed a traineeship for less than 6 months previously, you may still undertake a second traineeship for up to a total duration of 12 months, including the previous traineeship.
