Job opening in A.I.S.E. 

A.I.S.E., the European detergents & maintenance products industry association, is opening a full-time 6-month position for an intern in the Communications Team to join its staff of 20 multicultural and dynamic professionals in Brussels. Under the supervision of the Senior Communications Manager, the intern will contribute to delivering on an ambitious and multi-faceted communications plan that supports a very dynamic European trade association.   

A.I.S.E. is looking for a candidate with strong communications skills and a willingness to learn, who will bring a positive attitude and personal excellence in return for an opportunity to work on creative and impactful projects at the heart of a fast-moving industry 

Main activities  

  • Secure relevant material for A.I.S.E.’s communications to its members and stakeholders   
  • Draft content for communications tools including websites, social media and publications  
  • Simplify scientific content to create easy to understand messages in good English  
  • Track and analyse website traffic and contribute to SEO/SEA 
  • Work with agency to create materials for A.I.S.E. network on consumer survey data 
  • Provide support for delivery of communications material for A.I.S.E. events  

 Personal profile  

  • Degree in communications/media/public relations 
  • Previous experience in communications is an asset 
  • Good analytical skills and an ability to assimilate the various aspects of an issue rapidly 
  • Fluent English, excellent communication skills and preferably good French  
  • Personal confidence, able to take initiative and be proactive in taking on tasks  
  • Good organisation skills, flexible, able to work independently as well with team colleagues and under time pressure  
  • Good project management and excellent attention to detail 
  • High level of IT literacy with MS Office suite and communications tools such as CMS (Wordpress, Joomla), LinkedIn, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Google analytics   
  • Knowledge and interest in new media trends and techniques
