EU Communications Coordinator (m/f/d)

Full-time / 38 hours per week / Brussels, Belgium

Your contribution will be

  • Coordinating FOUR PAWS Belgium’s external and internal communications activities, by conceptualising and implementing effective communication strategies.
  • Managing the communication route between Four Paws Belgium and EU-based offices and the international communications team.
  • Preparing and distributing press releases and blog posts for FOUR PAWS Belgium and EU-based country offices of FOUR PAWS when relevant (‘translation’ of complex political topics).
  • Developing and nurturing media contacts in Brussels.
  • Preparing online communication to update all FOUR PAWS Belgium’s social media channels and for the international channels where it concerns European political topics.
  • Being responsible for all matters concerning FOUR PAWS Belgium’s website.
  • Representing FOUR PAWS Belgium in internal communication meetings
  • Supporting the team with reports and presentations and with the organisation of events

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Relevant experience with social media channels (particularly Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram)
  • Educational background in Communications/ Public Relations/ Marketing/ Public Policy
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills and strong cultural awareness
  • High degree of flexibility, creativity and ability to grasp opportunities
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions and EU animal welfare policy
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
