EuropeOn, the EU association of electrical contractors based in Brussels, is recruiting a Communications intern, starting mid-September 2024.

2024 is an exciting year with the new EU policy cycle and our 70 years anniversary! Our ideal candidate is able to work proactively and autonomously, eager to branch out into new missions. This may lead to an employee’s contract.

 

Main tasks

  1. Communication
  • Support communications activities: weekly communication plan, coordinating newsletter releases, drafting and proofreading content, connecting with journalists…
  • Social media administration
  • Communicate about our EU-funded projects
  1. Other missions
  • Support the organisation of events and meetings
  • Support administrative tasks

 

Profile

  • Young graduate in a degree related to Communication and/or EU studies
  • Excellent command of English. Having English as a first language is a plus.
  • Capacity and desire to work autonomously in a small team and propose creative ideas
  • Experience with social media
  • IT skills, first-hand experience with website content management and audio-visual storytelling (creating images/infographics/video) are desirable
  • High attention to detail
  • Interest for topics related to: EU politics, energy transition, climate change
  • A first experience in a Brussels-based organisation will be considered an asset

 

What we offer

  • A 6-months’ “Convention d’Immersion Professionelle” (Internship contract)
  • A standard monthly reimbursement for expenses of €1.100
  • Reimbursement for public transportation + lunch vouchers
  • Potential travel
  • You will be working in a dynamic small-scale association; we encourage and value working from home; you will be interacting with 15+ nationalities
  • This may lead to an employee’s contract, depending on performance and budget conditions
