Eurogas represents all gases and their derivatives and leads the sector’s transition to climate neutrality.

We cover wholesale, retail, distribution & use of gases in transport & heating. We believe gases incl. renewable & low carbon have a crucial role to play in the energy transition and decarbonisation of transport & heating.

Decarbonisation is at the core of our activities: we support the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality objective and the target of reducing GHG emissions by at least 55% by 2030. We advocate for an approach ensuring an environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable energy transition guaranteeing SoS. With appropriate incentives in place, EU gas demand can be fully decarbonised already before 2050.

We are looking for a Policy Advisor to cover Transport & Heating topics

 

What you will do

  • Be the contact point/WG manager for:
    • Road & maritime transport covering natural gas, biomethane, hydrogen and their derivatives
    • Buildings & heat decarbonisation
  • Draft position papers/recommendations/briefings
  • Monitor, track & analyse EU policies
  • Support the development & implement advocacy campaigns
  • Represent Eurogas in meetings with policymakers, during events and in coalitions

 

We are looking for

  • Ideally, experience in energy, transport or heating
  • Ideally, several years of experience in an association, company or EU/national institution
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, good team player
  • Project management skills incl. manage meetings & respect deadlines
  • Ready to assist in a wide range of tasks, proactively leading on specific projects
  • Excellent command of English
  • EU citizen eligible to work in Belgium
