  • Position title: ESP Exhibition Manager
  • Supervision: To report to ESP Director-General/first-line Manager
  • Remuneration: Highly competitive, depending on experience
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: ESP Headquarters/ESP Offices

Job Purpose

The Exhibition Manager will secure and manage all kinds of ESP events that offer exhibiting opportunities or/and are associated with exhibitions, like but not limited to the European Congress of Pathology “ECP”, European School of Pathology “EScoP”, ESP Academy, on-site courses and workshops, Masterclass, Advisory Forum, etc.,) on behalf of the Society in close collaboration with first-line Manager. To assist in all internal and external projects of the ESP and its Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Correspondence with interested and contracted exhibitors for ECPs and other ESP events
  • Advice to exhibitors regarding their needs and the venue
  • Participation in on-site preparational and on-site sponsors meetings during ECPs
  • Preparation of Exhibition Manual, liaising with the venue
  • Collection of exhibition booking forms and preparation of exhibition floor plan, considering sponsoring levels and time of contracting
  • Issuing of invoices for exhibition space
  • Management of exhibition set-up and dismantling on-site, staffing of exhibition counter during congress
  • Preparation of ESP booth presence at related conferences
  • Preparation and on-site execution of smaller ESP events
  • Preparation of and on-site attendance of ESP booths at international meetings

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent apprenticeship in event management with a minimum of 5 years job experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Proven working experience (3-10 years) in medical associations or a PCO working for medical associations
  • Structured, organised, precise, reliable
  • Experience of using web CMS
  • Command of AutoCAD or equivalent software to design exhibitions
  • Excellent command of English language + 1 other
  • Ability to work with peak activity time and stress resistant
  • Hands-on (proactive) approach to tasks in both exhibition management and other ESP-related matters
  • Strong sales skills
  • Structured, organised, precise, reliable
  • Willingness to travel
