Exploiting the latest advances in AI to fast-track the development of the Channel and its digital properties, while responding to new user patterns. Coming up with responsible, innovative solutions to improve our tools and products and sharing these improvements with other players in the sector. These are the challenges we are offering you, as part of a newly-created team, over the next years.
The team is expected to be part of a strategic ARTE initiative and will be made possible thanks to specific public funding. This support will enable the project to be implemented for a defined funding period, at the end of which the project will end.
As head of this team, within the IT Development and Projects department of the Technology Division, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the ARTE Group's AI strategy. Your objective: to transform this strategy into tangible results for our employees and our audiences.

Your duties

  • Lead the AI team strategically and operationally, with a strong focus on innovation and excellence, adopting a lean and agile approach.
  • Define, prioritise and steer AI use cases in line with ARTE's strategic objectives and the France 2030 programme.
  • Contribute to the development of the long-term AI strategy in collaboration with the head of department and the CTO.
  • Manage the budget, resources and monitoring of projects supported by the sector, ensuring they are aligned with the Group's strategic priorities.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the European Partnerships and Funding Development department, which is responsible for the administrative and organisational management of the project in relation to the funder.
  • Recruit, structure and develop a first-rate AI team throughout the four years of the project.
  • Provide coordination between the technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners to ensure a successful outcome for the projects, while encouraging cross-functional collaboration within ARTE GEIE and, where appropriate, across the ARTE group as a whole.
  • Support team members to further develop their skills through an active mentoring approach.

Your strengths

  • You are an inspirational leader, capable of motivating, engaging and driving your teams forward to achieve their objectives.
  • You have in-depth technical expertise in AI technologies and understand their impact, both on the arte.tv offering and on the optimisation of business processes.
  • You have a strategic vision and are able to translate business needs into concrete results while creating a clear roadmap to achieve the declared objectives.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work diplomatically and comfortably with a variety of stakeholders in multicultural and European environments.
  • Thanks to your critical and analytical mind, you are able to distinguish the relevant opportunities from the simple trends brought about by the rapid and tumultuous evolution of technological potential.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in computing, information systems, digital management or equivalent
  • Good command of French and/or German; fluent English essential. Significant experience in managing technical teams, ideally in the media or streaming sectors.
  • Proven experience in implementing strategic projects related to AI or other major technological innovations.
  • Excellent grasp of the various technological advances in AI and their impact on the transformation of tools and processes.
  • Experience of managing budgets and steering subsidised projects.
