The European Biogas Association (EBA) aims to ensure the full rollout of renewable gas in Europe. We are a fast-growing association representing over 300 members spanning 35 countries. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and committed Finance and Administration Officer on a full-time and permanent basis.
The role
As part of a motivated and dynamic EBA team, the Finance and Administration Officer will support the CEO to manage the organization’s financial and accounting process and provide support to the administration of the organization.
We offer an energetic working environment within a multicultural team in Brussels and full immersion into the work of a leading European industry association in Brussels.
Main responsibilities
- Manage the organisation’s financial and accounting processes and implement relevant policies and procedures that ensure transparent and effective financial management.
- In cooperation with the accountant, prepare monthly and annual accounts, including balance sheet and P&L statement with analyses.
- Provide recommendations to the CEO on allocation of financial resources throughout the year.
- Manage, together with the Technical Director, the financial planning and financial reporting of EU funded projects, mainly Horizon Europe.
- Carry out administrative tasks related to membership, coordination with external contractors, as well as processing of event registrations and office management, including invoicing procedures and management of members platform.
- Support in payroll and HR activities.
What makes you a perfect fit?
- At least Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3-5 year experience in a financial management role, with specific knowledge of Belgian legal & accounting requirements.
- Experience in financial grant management with European institutional actors for EU funded projects.
- A structured person and proven analytical skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office and CMS tools.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Good team player and a flexible work attitude.
- You are eligible to live and work in the EU.
