EVTA offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative professional to manage and implement EU funded project and network services for its members.

EVTA – The European Vocational Training Association is a network organisation representing VET providers across Europe. Established in 1998, EVTA evolved into an important stakeholder in the field of VET and human capital development, participating in institutional activities and providing support to its members.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive EU Project & Policy Manager to join our team with a full-time employment contract under the Belgian law. As a EU Project & Policy Manager, you will be responsible for implementing some ongoing projects, supervising project teams, and contributing to the strategic planning and development of project activities. Reporting directly to the Secretary General of EVTA, you will have a role in driving the success of our projects and identifying new opportunities for funding and collaboration. The selected candidate will be required to start ASAP.

This position requires traveling within Europe (and occasionally overseas). Join our team at EVTA and play a key role in shaping the future of vocational training in Europe!

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

You will demonstrate and further develop your competencies in:

EU Project Management

The candidate will be working under the supervision of the Project Implementation Team Leader and will:

  • Contribute to a collaborative and productive Project Implementation team environment.
  • Develop and execute project plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Implement activities, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Develop stakeholders’ mapping and engagement activities.
  • Manage project financial and narrative reporting, including budget tracking, time allocation, and administration.
  • Report progress and challenges to the Project Implementation Team Leader, keeping stakeholders updated on milestones.

Policy Analysis

The candidate will be working under the supervision of the Secretary-General and will:

  • Review policy papers, reports, and publications from EVTA, government bodies, European institutions, and international organizations to identify adaptable best practices for VET in Europe.
  • Develop advocacy-driven research, case studies, and policy analysis on labor policies, skills development, and innovative training methods.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with policymakers, educational institutions, and industry leaders to gather insights and provide feedback.
  • Prepare detailed reports on EVTA’s policy-related progress and partnerships.
  • Document successful case studies and innovative training programs for dissemination among EVTA members.

PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Qualifications and job requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, political sciences, project management, international relations, economics).
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in EU project management, financial management and reporting, with a successful track record of overseeing complex projects from start to finish.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
  • At least 2 years of policy analysis experience, including assessing complex data, conducting research, and developing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
  • Knowledge of the education and vocational training sector and funding landscape in Europe and internationally is an asset.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, Italian) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project activities and meetings.
