Director-General for the Directorate-General for Communication and Information (DG COMM)
The Council of the EU is currently recruiting a Director-General for the Directorate-General for Communication and Information (DG COMM). This is an exceptional opportunity within the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union (GSC), offering a prestigious and influential role. It is ideally suited to an executive with extensive experience in external communication and public relations for the EU.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead DG COMM in providing clear, accurate and timely information on the activities of the European Council and the Council,
- Act as principal adviser to the Secretary-General, the President of the European Council and the Presidencies on external communications, social media, transparency and public affairs,
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies while representing the Council in public and in interinstitutional negotiations,
- Manage resources and motivate a skilled team of professionals to produce high quality communication outputs.
