WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A4E is looking for a Communications Officer to join its team in Brussels. Working with the Communications Director and the wider policy team, you will support the implementation of A4E’s communications and advocacy strategies. You will play a crucial role in promoting Europe’s leading airlines and help raise awareness about key issues through effective communication actions.
 
THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER WILL:
  • Produce creative and compelling content to amplify key messages for various communication channels such as visuals, videos and infographics
  • Work with the Communications Director and Office Manager to plan, promote execute A4E events
  • Help enhance the online presence and visibility of A4E
  • Manage A4E’s social media accounts (X, LinkedIn, Youtube)
  • Maintain and update A4E’s website
  • Assist in the organisation of webinars
  • Assist with handling press queries
  • Prepare material for external engagements by the A4E Managing Director and wider team including presentation slides
  • Draft and distribute internal communications to members such as weekly newsletters
  • Provide support to the Communications Director and Policy Directors as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years of communication experience, preferably in industry or a trade association
  • Experience in creating compelling content for a wide range of audiences
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress)
  • Experience in video and image editing. Experience with Adobe Suite and Canva is a plus
  • Experience in managing social media content and channels
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multicultural team
  • An academic background in journalism, public/media relations, or a related field (Undergraduate degree or equivalent)
