CEFS is hiring! Trade & Economic Affairs Officer
Responsabilities
- Coordinating the work of the CEFS Internal and International Markets and Statistics (IMS) Working Group.
- Monitoring and analysing developments in EU trade policy (bilateral trade negotiations, WTO matters, trade defence investigations), agriculture policy, and the EU sugar market.
- Drafting positions on trade and agricultural policy and leading effective advocacy efforts.
- Undertaking studies and economic analysis into the domestic support regimes of sugar-producing countries and other issues of relevance to CEFS members.
What we’re looking for
- A Master’s degree in economics, international relations, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience working within EU institutions, a trade association or consultancy. Trade policy experience a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English skills. Fluency in French, German would be an asset.
- MS suite proficiency (especially MS Excel). Experience with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau (or willingness to learn them).
- Personal: great networker and communicator; pro-active self-starter willing to expand the role; solution-oriented client/member-facing attitude.
