erame-Unie Aisbl (CU) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. Based in Brussels since 1962, it is the voice of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. Tasks:
The trainee will gain practical knowledge and better understanding of EU institutions and international processes while carrying out different tasks:
- Support to the whole team in regulatory activities, with a strong focus on trade (e.g. trade defence investigations, market access, FTAs & trade barriers) and regular missions in the field of climate and energy (e.g. ETS, CBAM, Electrification Action Plan, decarbonisation)
- Research, statistical extraction, collection and analysis of industry and trade data.
- Support in communication activities e.g. writing of newsletter articles, reports and memos.
- Support of event organisation, coordination and promotion.
- Participation to external events and meetings, including in EU institutions.
Profile:
- Educational background in European studies, political science, economics, or law.
- Very good command of written and spoken English, other languages are an asset.
- Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
- Previous experience with European institutions or with trade, climate or energy policy is an advantage.
- Experience/understanding of trade defence investigations is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
The traineeship is paid (Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle under Belgian law) and is scheduled for 6 months with, ideally, a starting date on 7 September 2026.
