Reporting to: Head of Growth
Purpose:
The Marketing Coordinator, Growth (MCG) works under the direction of the Head of Growth within the Product team, supporting the 3 key stages of the marketing funnel with a specific focus on acquisition & performance.
The MCG is primarily responsible for the hands-on execution of Euractiv’s strategic marketing plan to attract new clients, demonstrate ongoing subscription value and maintain a high standard of customer service to keep readers and subscribers engaged and more likely to renew.
The MCG will work within an assigned portfolio of internal and external clients and provide backfill support to the wider Marketing team as needed.
- Schedule: Regular from 09:00 to 18:00.
Main responsibilities:
Marketing (Acquisition) (60%)
- Use performance marketing, partnerships, social, SEO and other marketing and organic tools to grow Euractiv’s Pro subscription.
- Allocate and monitor paid media budget across performance campaigns.
- Develop and implement multi-channel paid acquisition campaigns to drive Pro subscription growth.
- Monitor and optimise marketing campaigns and provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders.
- Use paid and organic tools to market download and adoption of the Euractiv App
- Use data, sector-specific planning and targeted marketing activations, to maintain an always-on approach to promote and refine the marketing user journey.
- Work cross-functionally to produce high-performing assets that support brand and product marketing.
- Work closely with Data team to monitor and optimise marketing conversions.
- Coordinate growth marketing activities of Euractiv Jobs in partnership with Euractiv Jobs Product Owner.
- Ensure adherence to Euractiv strategic messaging and brand guidelines.
Customer service (15%)
- Maintain inbound digital@ email inbox to respond to customer queries, forwarding to relevant colleagues as appropriate.
- Contribute to the setup and maintenance of automated customer journeys.
- Maintain FAQs and information pages.
- Carry out service communications by email.
Media Partnerships (5%)
- Coordinate marketing assets and requirements for visibility exchange media partnerships.
- Work with commercial lead to align on barter offerings and implementation and ad ops team to deliver on Euractiv committed deliverables.
- Provide post-partnership feedback on success against goals
Research and development (10%)
- Carry out AB testing to optimise acquisition campaigns.
- Build relationships with platform partners (e.g. Google) to optimise performance, pilot new features and gain insights.
- Stay current on UX principles, evolving customer service principles
- Stay up to date on evolving digital media landscape including emerging social media platforms, advertising technology, etc.
- Attend relevant trainings and events to stay current in sectoral advancements.
Administration (5%)
- Supervise advertising spend and reconciles payments and invoicing with Finance team.
Networking and relationship-building (5%)
- Liaise with external vendors and build good working relationships (e.g. social media networks, platform vendors, etc.)
- Maintain solid, transparent working relationships with internal Euractiv teams and high level of customer service with Euractiv clients and external audiences.
- Liaise and exchange with other marketing teams within Mediahuis group on best practices and usage of tooling used throughout organisation.
Person specification: knowledge and experience
- You’re a skilled digital marketing professional with business acumen and a hands-on approach. You’re a self-starter and resourceful
- You have the talent of developing a digital marketing strategy and you have a proven record on SEO, newsletter and social media marketing.
- You are an above average user of news media (it’s a plus if you have a knack for EU related journalism) and are keen to work in a newsroom, a vibrant environment where every day something else is cooking.
- You’re an excellent English speaker and are passionate about communication, you can prove your copywriting skills.
