SEMI Europe has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Coordinator: European Projects. In this role you will be responsible for shaping SEMI Europe’s activities and initiatives in the field of Workforce Development and Skills.
The Senior Coordinator: European Projects is tasked with coordinating and supporting tasks in EU-funded projects related to workforce development, skills, diversity, etc. They will work closely with project partners and SEMI members, managing tasks and communicating the project results. Through the implementation of the projects, they will also enhance the visibility of SEMI in the realm of workforce development and actively seek new opportunities for project proposals.
Core responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the management of EU-funded projects in workforce development, skills, diversity, business development and public policy.
- Track project developments/ deliverables and ensure cross-regional collaboration with communications / operations teams within SEMI Europe and with other SEMI offices
- Liaise with and mobilise project consortia for the optimal implementation of projects
- Communicate with the EC project officers
- Edit, update and maintain communication channels
- Organise technical project meetings and conferences, provide logistical support and draft background documents and meeting reports
- Identify new funding opportunities and assist with the drafting of new offers
- Organize policy/project meetings, workshops & seminars across Europe
This position requires hired employee to report to Senior Manager, Workforce Development and EU Projects
What you will do
You will be managing SEMI Europe’s engagement in European Projects on the topic of workforce development and related strategic priorities. You will engage with member companies and other stakeholders to implement projects, develop joint activities and contribute to SEMI Europe’s leadership on the issue of skills in microelectronics.
Foundational Knowledge
- 4+ years of professional experience
- Experience in European projects, preferably in the field of microelectronics / semiconductors
- University degree in political science, law, economics, public administration, project management.
- Experience in industry associations, consultancies or working in an EU-related stakeholder is a strong advantage
- Experience in communication in a technical field is a plus
- General experience in proactively managing diverse groups
- Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication (other languages are a plus)
- Knowledge of EU-funding programmes (Erasmus+ and ChipsJU) is a plus
- Proposal drafting skills is a plus
