A.SPIREÂ is a European non-profit driving innovation in the process industry, contributing to a climate-neutral and circular economy through the Processes4Planet Partnership under Horizon Europe.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE
We are looking for a highly organised, collaborative and reliable colleague with professional drive and a strong sense of responsibility. You will lead A.SPIRE’s contributions to assigned European-funded projects and internal projects of the association alike, with a hands-on spirit and applying your knowledge in industry, project management and sustainability. You will contribute to making an impact and employ your skills to support the green transition. You will contribute to linking A.SPIRE projects with innovation areas:
- Contribution to EU-funded projects: coordinate A.SPIRE work in assigned  EU-funded projects and ensure the timely and quality delivery of the actions and deliverables under A.SPIRE responsibility as a partner of the EU-funded projects, under themes such as sustainability, circularity and climate neutrality.
- Internal projects & Members’ engagement: coordinate and implement internal projects or actions of our association aimed at increasing membership value and industry engagement. Your work on projects will provide relevant input for A.SPIRE’s programming activities and events.
- Programming and Innovation: facilitate the information flow of learnings and outcomes from projects to the team, members’ working groups and advisory bodies, fostering effective communication and a supportive environment for collaboration among our members.
PRIMARYÂ RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTRIBUTION TO A.SPIRE’S PARTICIPATION IN THE EU-FUNDED PROJECTS
- Plan, organise and implement the tasks and work packages under A.SPIRE responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring coherence with the goals of A.SPIRE and Processes4Planet Partnership.
- Coordinate with the projects-innovation team to ensure timely, efficient and quality delivery of the projects’ activities and deliverables of assigned projects, ensuring value for members and coherence of actions with the goals of the Processes4Planet Partnership.
- Monitor EU-funded project budgets in collaboration with the Financials Coordinator and track team members’ time dedication in a consistent, systematic and coherent way.
- Contribute to identifying funding opportunities and to the definition of A.SPIRE’s role in new project proposals, providing relevant input on A.SPIRE’s potential contribution and added value.
INTERNAL PROJECTS AND MEMBERS’ ENGAGEMENTÂ
- Coordinate and implement assigned internal projects of our association aimed at increasing membership value and industry engagement.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of A.SPIRE events, including projects’ days.
- Contribute to supporting our members to increase their access to European funding for innovation.
- Contribute to membership development by identifying opportunities to increase member value through projects, and to members engagement and retention, in collaboration with A.SPIRE team.
PROGRAMMING AND INNOVATIONÂ Â
- Connect and follow assigned projects contributing to the A.SPIRE innovation areas, extract relevant information that can benefit A.SPIRE members or our stakeholders.
- Facilitate the flow of relevant projects insights to the team and to our Advisory Group and Working Groups, in collaboration with management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in environmental science, sustainability, political science, project management, international relations or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in EU funds and innovation projects supported by Horizon programme, having been involved in diverse parts of the project management (e.g. proposals preparation, work packages implementation, reporting).
- Understanding of sustainability, circular economy and climate neutrality, preferably in the context of process industry sectors.

LANGUAGES, COMMUNICATIONÂ ANDÂ TOOLS
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to create impactful presentations with PowerPoint or other tools.
- Good knowledge of SharePoint or other collaborative tools and of project management tools.
- Knowledge of AI tools applied to work (e.g. Copilot) is an asset
PRACTICALITIES
- You must have the right to work in Belgium.
- You will be joining a small team. A.SPIRE can reorganise the tasks assigned depending on the evolution of the team composition.
