We are seeking a News Producer (f/m/d) for our DW Brussels Studio in Belgium as of 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible on the basis of a full-time local staff employment contract limited for two years.
Role
- preparing and researching news stories and reports for wide videos and verticals, social media, online, and TV for DW correspondents; planning and research for the topics
- producing content and editing videos for various social media platforms (including delivery to internal DW stakeholders and external distribution of videos and articles)
- newsgathering (press conferences, briefings, daily breaking news, releases from other organizations, interview requests, research on experts, key figures, etc.)
- organizing DW’s coverage of social developments and news events throughout Europe, such as European summits
Profile
- completed university studies in a relevant field
- previous experience working in a journalistic environment, with journalistic skills, research experience as well as a strong network
- very good knowledge of EU affairs and institutions
- excellent command of English (min. level C1) and very good command of French (min. level B2), German an advantage
- very good social media skills
- excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach
- ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
- flexibility and willingness to travel
