ÖIR consults public institutions on strategic issues with spatial dimensions. The scope of our activities ranges from European policies to regional development and urban and regional planning. We have been supporting the European Commission (DG AGRI, DG REGIO), the European Parliament, the European Investment Bank, the European Committee of Regions and ESPON EGTC in questions of regional development, land use and spatial planning and rural and agricultural policy since 1995.
To expand our team, we are searching for an
Expert/Policy analyst
in European regional policy
At ÖIR, you will be involved in consultancy projects for European institutions, conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analyses. In addition, you will be working with clients at national and regional level implementing European policies.
The successful candidate will
– have a university degree at Masters’ level, such as in economics, political science, geography, spatial planning
– have English language as well as German communication and drafting skills corresponding to C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
– be highly interested in working on regional policy topics,
– be experienced with MS Office,
– enjoy working independently and flexibly in interdisciplinary project teams.
Professional experience in contributing to studies and research projects in the field of (European) regional policy and first experience in the preparation of project proposals/tenders would be advantageous.
We offer a full-time position (38.5 hours a week; with the option of part-time work corresponding to 32 hours), with a gross monthly salary starting at EUR 3,963.00 at 38.5 weekly hours paid 14 times a year. Overpayment due to additional qualifications and work experience is possible.
