GET.invest (https://www.get-invest.eu/) is a European programme that supports investments in clean energy projects in developing countries. It is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the European Union, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Austria, and is part of the GET.pro platform (https://www.global-energy-transformation.eu/). The programme contributes to the European Union’s Global Gateway and focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as selected activities in the Caribbean and Pacific.
The Finance Access Advisory (FAA) is the core investment-facing component of GET.invest. Since 2016, FAA has supported more than 600 companies and infrastructure projects and contributed to over EUR 500 million in financial close.
FAA works with a pool of highly experienced senior transaction advisors, including former DFI, corporate, and project finance professionals with deep sectoral expertise. The Senior Advisor will collaborate closely with these experts while contributing to the delivery and continuous refinement of Finance Access Advisory services.
The role focuses on strengthening the interface between GET.invest, European private sector actors, and the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy and its Investment Hub. It combines hands-on engagement with companies and projects in emerging markets with a positioning and coordinating European private sector participation in strategic investment initiatives. It integrates practical advisory work with the opportunity to shape how European investment initiatives are translated into concrete projects and transactions.
Operating at the intersection of finance, energy markets, and international partnership frameworks, the position involves close interaction with European companies, DFIs, partner institutions, and EU stakeholders. It provides exposure to both project-level advisory and higher-level strategic coordination within Team Europe approaches.
The Advisor will be embedded in the Finance Access Advisory team and report to the thematic and HR-responsible leadership.
