The European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) is looking for a motivated, skilled and junior Projects & Partnerships coordinator to support its work developing EuroVelo, the European cycle route network.

Job description
The EuroVelo Projects & Partnerships Coordinator will report to the EuroVelo and Cycling Tourism Director and coordinate and support aspects of the work of the ECF’s EuroVelo team. In particular, the role holder will assist with the implementation of the EuroVelo Route Partnerships, EuroVelo business development activities and fundraising strategies related to EuroVelo.
Main tasks:

Coordinating the ongoing EuroVelo Route Partnerships and developing new ones:
-
Organise, prepare and facilitate regular meetings: Steering committees, marketing & communications committees, infrastructure committees, etc.
-
Implement the activities of the annual action plan approved by the partners and make sure the budget is allocated accordingly to what is planned.

Coordinate the work of colleagues or subcontractors for the good delivery of activities related to EuroVelo Route Partnerships.

Oversee the strategy of each EuroVelo Route Partnership and support and engage with route partners, especially when renewal discussions happen.

Ensure the smooth administrative and financial management of the Partnerships and regular reporting.

Developing and reporting on the EuroVelo Business Activities, with the support of EuroVelo team members where applicable:
-
EuroVelo Bookable Offers Search Engine: maintain contact with tour operators, conversion, retention, reporting, etc.

EuroVelo adverts: digital (website and newsletter) and printed (EuroVelo Overview Map planned for 2026 and others).
-
EuroVelo partnerships with businesses, including strategic partnerships or launching new initiatives such as the EuroVelo and Cycling Tourism Awards.

EuroVelo expertise and consultancy activities: developing a clear offer, managing the administrative aspect of consultancy activities.

Developpin a business strategy for the European Certification Standard methodology.

Assisting in fundraising strategies related to EuroVelo drafting European funded project applications related to EuroVelo:
-
EuroVelo donation system: online platform, inventory management of items, reporting, strategy, etc.

Attending and reporting to the ECF fundraising team.
-
Developing new ideas and concepts, approach potential partners, drafting proposals, etc.
-
Identify and liaise with potential partners from the EuroVelo network.
Additional tasks:

Reporting on and monitoring progress on the main tasks
-
Supporting the delivery of various EuroVelo activities such as event organisation, communications, network management, etc.

Representing EuroVelo and ECF at various events
-
Contributing to the work of the EuroVelo Management Team and wider ECF team

Who are we looking for?
Academic background:

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
-
Desirable: Master’s degree in a relevant field
Professional background:
Essential:
-
At least 1-2 years of project coordination/management experience (internal or external)
-
Working on partnerships with public and/or private stakeholders in a professional context
Desirable:
-
Business, Tourism, Marketing or communication knowledge and experience, sustainable transport or environment campaigning
-
Expertise on cycling routes or cycling tourism projects
-
Experience on the coordination of partners/networks/members

Capability with administrative tasks such as managing budgets and preparing reports

Proficient user of CRM database tools and web management software
What do we offer?
You will have a place in the world’s largest and best-known cyclists’ federation promoting cycling as the healthiest, most climate-friendly and efficient means of transport and leisure. Your position will be in an international office located in the heart of Brussels full of friendly and passionate colleagues.
This position is offered initially as a one-year fixed-term contract on a full-time basis, with excellent prospects to extend. ECF offers an employment package in line with similar non-governmental organisations based in Brussels. Our package includes flexible working hours with a good work-life balance, 20 legal vacation and 10 extra-legal vacation days, cycling to work allowance, lunch vouchers and an extra-legal pension scheme. The indicative entry level salary for this role is 2,200€ gross/month.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU and able to live and work in Belgium.
