Eurometaux is hiring a Policy Communications Intern to join our team. We are looking for a creative, driven individual to contribute to our advocacy work.
Are you passionate about EU communications and advocacy? Curious to understand better why metals are critical for Europe green and digital transitions and motivated to contributing spreading our messages to policymakers and other stakeholders? If you are looking for a progressive environment full of possibilities for professional development, this role might be interesting for you.
The role
We offer a six-month full-time paid traineeship position, during which you’ll be working closely with the Head of Communications.
You can expect to fill your day supporting on:
- Draft posts and create visuals for various communication channels (website, newsletter and social media channels)
- Contribute to social media and communications campaigns
- Support the maintenance and updating of our website
- Members newsletter
- Meeting preparations and reporting
- Contribute to our team with ideas and insights
We work in a hybrid mode, combining in-person presence and working from home.
Your profile
- Bachelor/Master Degree in communication, public relations, European studies or similar
- Interest in raw materials and related policy areas (energy, sustainability, trade, chemicals management)
- Highly proficient in English; any other languages is a plus
- Experience in/keen interest in digital communication and creative design
- Familiar with WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva and social media channels
- A creative thinker with excellent organisational skills and time management
- Brussels based; eligible to work in the EU

Eurometaux, the European Metals Association, is a trade association representing the collective European non-ferrous metals industry, including miners, smelters, refiners, fabricators and recyclers of the base metals, precious metals, and minor metals needed for the twin transition. Our membership includes companies (non-ferrous metals producers, miners, transformers and recyclers); commodities associations; national federations. We work across four key policy areas, with dedicated committees: energy, sustainability, trade and chemicals management. The Communications Department works horizontally across them.
