Kellen in Europe is looking to strengthen its client association teams operating in the food, environment, transport and energy sectors. The position is based in our Brussels office and you will work mainly on two of our biggest clients in the food and energy sector.
You will have a variety of roles:
- Leading the development of positions & advocate on EU chemical and sustainability policies for clients;
- Developing and leading the implementation of public & regulatory affairs and programs on other chemicals and sustainability topics;
- Leading and managing association working groups and task forces (i.e. from minutes taking to writing position papers and offering strategic guidance, etc)
- Representing Kellen or its clients in relevant fora at EU legislative and regulatory level;
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (EU institutions, EU associations, NGOs and other policy stakeholders);
- Offering day-to-day support to the associations’ leadership and working bodies;
You should bring:
- A Master’s degree level;
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in public and regulatory affairs across agrifood, healthcare, energy and environment sectors;
- Excellent knowledge of EU policy & regulatory affairs, with particular focus on EU chemicals policy (e.g. REACH, Chemical Strategy for Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety, CLP, SSbD) good knowledge of sustainability policies would be welcome (e.g, Ecodesign, Taxonomy, Batteries and ELV Regulations, Net-Zero Industry Act, Industrial Emissions Directive, recycling)
- Experience with the EU policy-making process and in working with trade associations;
- Very good writing, communication and presentation skills;
- Computer literacy (MS office, web-based tools, Artificial Intelligence);
- Excellent written and spoken English
- The attitude of a self-starter and a strong team player, oriented on quality and results with a willingness to work in an international environment.
