INTRODUCTION
Founded in 2016 and based in Brussels, Growing Media Europe is a member-based association representing European producers of growing media, better known as “potting soil”. Growing media are a key pillar of modern horticulture, used to grow fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and trees. Enabling optimum plant growth while using less natural resources, growing media are an essential part of the EU green transition. Our industry is committed to highest environmental standards while contributing to healthy nutrition, greener cities and large scale afforestation.
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Secretariat team this autumn. The intern will be trained in all fields of our association´s activities with a focus on membership relationships, event organisation and science coordination. This role is a hands-on experience within a very small team and a great opportunity to gain competences in a broad range of policy, communication and scientific topics. A fantastic chance for a self-starter eager to learn and grow.
TASKS
This is a non-exhaustive list of tasks, which could be adapted based on priorities:
· Assisting in managing Growing Media Europe´s membership and stakeholder databases.
· Contributing to the creation of a brand-new sector knowledge base.
· Helping in organising both internal meetings as well as external events, including logistical and administrative support for a major public event in 2026.
· Joining creative decision-making processes, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
· Supporting the implementation of our communication strategy.

· Knowledge of EU Institutions or legislation will be considered a plus.
