Europe is experiencing exciting and challenging times. Digital tools and technologies are ever-more shaping our daily lives and transforming different sectors. The European DIGITAL SME Alliance is tasked to represent and support the main driver of such changes in Europe – small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the ICT sector. Representing over 45,000 SMEs through its national and regional member associations, DIGITAL SME is Europe’s first and largest ICT SME association. To reach its goals for sustainable digital transformation of the European economy and society, the European Union has put in place various funding programs that serve as catalysts for research and innovation, contribute to the development of digital infrastructure, enhance essential skills and competencies, etc… As the European DIGITAL SME Alliance actively participates in EU projects funded under these programmes, it is constantly looking for hands-on, fast learning students/fresh graduate wishing to complete a curricular Project Management traineeship in a growing and dynamic European association.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the project management team in the implementation of various project tasks, such as research, drafting and editing content, organising project-related events, etc;
  • Supporting the organisation and execution of online, hybrid and offline events;
  • Creating and posting content on project-related websites and social media;
  • Contributing to writing and reviewing project deliverables;
  • Supporting the preparation/drafting of proposals in response to tenders and call for proposals issued by the EU Institutions;
  • Attending events, conferences, workshops, etc;
  • Ad-hoc support.

What do you need to join our team?

  • Proficiency in English;
  • Some previous knowledge of and interest in EU digital policies and/or EU funded projects;
  • General computer literacy (WordPress), knowledge of CRM software is an asset;
  • Proficiency in another EU language, especially French, Dutch or German, is an asset;
  • Team player, reliable, highly motivated.

Please note that in order to be eligible, you need to be currently enrolled in university and willing to complete a curricular (unpaid) internship OR be eligible through Erasmus+ funding.
