FEDIOL, the association representing the European Oil and Proteinmeal Industry, is a key player in the food and feed chain that actively engages with public authorities and stakeholders on EU policy initiatives. FEDIOL is looking for a “Manager Advocacy and European Parliament Relations” to join and strengthen its dynamic team.

Main accountabilities:

  • Manage relations with the European Parliament, MEPS, officials from political parties and EP committees
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies and outreach plans on policy developments and files relevant for the sector (food and feed, climate, environment, agriculture and trade) with a particular focus on the European Parliament and in close cooperation with other team members in charge of specific policy areas
  • Coordinate advocacy plans with stakeholders, in a coalition or supply chain approach, with other EU trade associations and agri-food industries

Education and Professional experience:

  • Degree in EU public affairs and policy
  • 3 to 5 years professional experience in EU policy and in planning and managing of advocacy projects, preferably in the agri-food or environment areas; work experience within the European Parliament an asset

Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent public-speaking skills
  • Leadership, organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral, other EU languages an asset
  • Dynamic, dedicated, organised, excellent team player
  • Able to take initiative and work effectively under pressure independently
