Hyundai Motor Company strengthens its team in Brussels and looks for a Government Affairs Specialist, who can join the team as soon as possible (negotiable).
- This is a full-time position
- The reporting line is to the Representative of the Brussels Office
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping to develop Hyundai’s position on European policies relating to the automobile sector
- Primary responsibilities will be monitoring and following up on key files of the automotive sector and reporting on its developments including analysis on its implication
- Representing the company in assigned working groups of ACEA and other membership organizations
- Working with parliamentarians, government officials, diplomats and other opinion leaders to ensure better understanding of Hyundai’s position
- Reporting HMCBO activities to senior management within the wider company by means of regular reports
- Organizing policy-related briefings, meetings and other events with the support of internal team
- Above-mentioned responsibilities are subject to change upon supervisor’s request
THE EXPECTED PROFILE
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in policy and public affairs, ideally in the automobile or an automobile-related sector
- A very good understanding of European political and policy processes
- An individual and enthusiastic contribution to the work of a small international team within a dynamic environment
- Open-minded and can-do attitude enabling the candidate to adapt to changing tasks and challenges
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills; any additional languages are an asset
