FIGIEFA, the European Federation of Wholesalers of Automotive Replacement Parts, is looking for a Senior Policy Manager (full-time) to support its activities in Brussels.
FIGIEFA is the European federation and political representative in Brussels of the independent wholesalers and retailers of automotive replacement parts. Together with its 19 national member associations and 5 International Trade Groups we represent the interests of more than 30.000 companies trading with vehicle parts, components and accessories throughout Europe.
The aim of FIGIEFA is to safeguard a legislative environment in the EU that provides free and fair competition in the automotive aftermarket. In this context, ensuring continued access to technical information, data and safe & cybersecure access to the vehicle for independent market operators and the availability of replacement parts, is of crucial importance for our association in a rapidly changing automotive technology environment, in particular in the era of the software-defined vehicle.

Main Responsibilities
As our Senior Policy Manager, you will, i.a.:
- Analyse EU dossiers in the field of digitalisation, transport policy, technical EU and UNECE automotive regulations, competition and industrial policy, and you will assess their impact on FIGIEFA Members and the Automotive Aftermarket;
- Contribute to the development of the Association’s advocacy and policy strategies;
- Manage assigned political and regulatory dossiers and coordinate related activities;
- Support the implementation of advocacy strategies (e.g. through engagement with the European institutions and stakeholders);
- Draft position papers, reports, briefings, and other policy documents;
- Represent FIGIEFA at conferences, workshops and events, including delivering presentations and occasional travel at EU level;
- Maintain and develop further our constructive relationships with EU institutions, industry stakeholders, and FIGIEFA members;
- Contribute to FIGIEFA’s communication activities, including newsletters and social media content.
Desired profile (education and job experience)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in the Brussels EU policy environment, with a thorough understanding of the functioning of the European institutions;
- Experience in the automotive, transport, or digital economy sectors would be considered a strong asset;
- Preferably a Master’s degree in Law, Economics or Political Sciences (with a specialisation in European Affairs);
- Be proficient in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional EU languages (e.g. French) would be an advantage;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with partners, stakeholders, and institutional counterparts;
- Ability to analyse complex legislative and regulatory issues and translate them into clear policy positions;
- Excellent drafting and presentation skills.
