The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will bring your growing expertise in communications, campaigning, and media relations to our team. Your mission: to help shape and deliver clear, impactful strategies while working closely with clients across various sectors and growing into a trusted advisor along the way.
- Contribute to the development of creative communication strategies for clients, from crafting compelling narratives to executing campaigns.
- Manage your time and client projects effectively, balancing multiple deadlines and delivering quality outputs on time.
- Support media relations efforts, cultivating media contacts, pitching stories, and helping ensure our clients’ voices are heard.
- Craft powerful written content across platforms, especially for social media. You are a wordsmith with a knack for impactful communication.
- Develop presentations with a clear structure and supporting design elements to help you tell the story that counts.
- Guide junior team members, offering day-to-day support and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- Support new business efforts by contributing to pitches and proposals.
What You Should Bring to the Table
- Growing Expertise: You have 3+ years in communications, advocacy campaigning or media relations, either in an institution, in-house or in an agency role. You’re experienced enough to work confidently and independently, and you’re driven to keep developing.
- Organised Executor: You have a track record of managing projects from start to finish, delivering to deadlines and quality standards without losing composure under pressure.
- Strategic Storyteller: You possess strong writing skills in English, able to craft content for diverse audiences. You can translate complex policy topics into clear, engaging narratives for social media and beyond.
- Media Savvy: You have a developing knowledge of the Brussels media landscape and are building your contacts and pitching skills.
- Politically Aware: You understand the political environment in Brussels and can provide useful guidance to clients on how to communicate their messages effectively.
- Client-Focused: You know how to build rapport with clients and provide support that adds value. You are professional, reliable and genuinely care about delivering quality.
- Team Player with a Leadership Mindset: You enjoy working collaboratively and are beginning to share your expertise with junior colleagues.
- Sector Curiosity (a plus, not a must): An interest in technology and/or sustainability topics is an asset. We work with clients across tech, digital, and green economy sectors and are growing in these areas, a candidate who brings enthusiasm for these topics will thrive.
