Job Vacancy: Delegate in Brussels
Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain
Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain is seeking a Delegate for its Brussels office to represent the interests of the Spanish agri-food cooperative sector before the institutions of the European Union.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and analyzing EU policies affecting the agri-food sector (CAP, sustainability, trade, food labeling, food safety, etc.).
- Representing the organization before the European Commission, the European Parliament, and other EU bodies.
- Participating in meetings, working groups, and sector-related forums such as European Commission Civil Dialogues Group, European Parliament Committees related to agrifood sector (COMAGRI, TRADE, ENVE…), COPA-COGECA meetings, etc
- Organising meetings with EU institutions.
- Preparing and drafting reports and conveying strategic information to headquarters in Spain.
- Assisting Spanish cooperatives representatives coming to meetings in Brussels
- Coordinating with other sector organizations and key stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
- Spanish nationality.
- Proven experience in agri-food policy matters within the EU institutions or in Brussels-based sector organizations.
- Knowledge of the EU decision-making process.
- Fluency in English (ability to work professionally in English is essential). Knowledge of French will be positively valued
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, team working skills and proactive mindset.
