Job Purpose

Are you a recent science graduate curious about how health policies and EU regulations shape the medical technology field? Join MedTech Europe as a Regulatory Affairs Intern and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of healthcare, policy, and innovation.

You’ll work closely with our In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and Medical Devices (MD) teams, contributing to real-world policy discussions and helping ensure that the voice of industry is heard across Europe. Expect a dynamic learning environment with exposure to high-level stakeholders, EU (health) policy processes, and international initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Support EU Regulatory Work: Track and analyse developments in the In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation (IVDR) and related EU health policies.

Engage in Policy Projects: Help coordinate MedTech Europe’s input into EU and global discussions on performance studies, clinical evidence, and regulatory frameworks.

Committee Support: Assist with organising meetings (agendas, logistics, minutes, presentations).

Administrative & Communication Support: Help with newsletters, member updates, and project coordination.

 

Requirements

• Master’s degree in science, healthcare, Molecular Biology, Laboratory Medicine, epidemiology, and similar.

• Have interest in EU politics and the EU decision-making processes • Be a team player who can work proactively and independently

• Be keen to learn and open to receive constructive feedback • Have excellent knowledge of spoken and written English

• Can formulate and articulate clear messages about complex subjects

• Is eligible to work as a trainee in Belgium

 

Nice-to-have skills

• Familiarity with the EU healthcare landscape

• Presentation skills 

 

What we offer

• A one-year full time contract (39h) under the Belgian Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP)

• A remunerated internship with benefits: lunch vouchers , internet and phone compensation , reimbursement of public transportation , possibility of hybrid work

• This internship is only applicable for candidates who hold a diploma and are not linked to any internship with a university.
