Membership Engagement Trainee
Europe is experiencing exciting and challenging times, with digital tools and technologies increasingly shaping our daily lives and transforming various sectors. The European DIGITAL SME Alliance represents and supports the main driver of these changes in Europe – small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the ICT sector. With over 45,000 SMEs represented through our national and regional member associations, DIGITAL SME is Europe’s first and largest ICT SME association.
As we continue to grow, we are focused on expanding our membership base and strengthening engagement with our current members to drive sustainable digital transformation across Europe. To support these efforts, we are seeking a Membership Engagement Trainee to assist with membership outreach and support. In this dynamic and hands-on role, you will contribute to expanding our network and developing meaningful relationships with SMEs and associations.
We are looking for a motivated student or fresh graduates who is eager to complete a curricular traineeship in a growing and dynamic European association.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Generate leads and map potential new members to support business development;
- Contribute to developing event concept notes;
- Participate in meetings and events targeted to business development and membership engagement;
- Prepare pre- and after-sales briefings to assist the Business Development Manager and membership engagement team;
- Draft mailings, press releases, and other communication materials for outreach and promotional activities;
- Contribute to managing CRM system, ensuring accurate data input and member tracking for effective follow-up;
- Other tasks as needed.
What do you need to join our team?
- Proficiency in English;
- Currently enrolled in university, in a business management, communications, political science, law or related field;
- General computer literacy (WordPress), knowledge of CRM software is an asset;
- Proficiency in another EU language, especially French or German, is an asset;
- Team player, reliable, highly motivated.

Please note that in order to be eligible, you need to be currently enrolled in university and willing to complete a curricular (unpaid) internship OR be eligible through Erasmus+ funding.
