Communications Manager
THE BREWERS OF EUROPE IS SEEKING TO RECRUIT A COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
The Brewers of Europe is the European association representing the brewing sector. Our vision is to
ensure a competitive, responsible and sustainable European brewing sector, creating shared value
across the entire value chain and enriching European culture. Our mission is to be the trusted and
respected voice for all of Europe’s brewers, shaping a policy environment that enables sustainable,
responsible and competitive growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Public Affairs, the the Communications manager will
work on the different communications platforms and producing the various communications tools of
the association, including websites, social media, publications, newsletters and events.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 to 5 years working experience in hands-on communications
• knowledge of how to use communications to support political advocacy
• a digital native with a thorough knowledge of online media and latest social media trends
• understanding of the EU policymaking environment
• proficient with relevant software tools
• excellent oral and written skills in English. Knowledge of other EU languages a plus.

• proactive, hands-on and comfortable taking initiative
• a passion for the power of communications to support advocacy work
• ability to maximise the added value of support from external agencies
• creativity, to translate messages into impactful tools, whilst staying within agreed guardrails
• a strong commitment to producing high-quality work in short timeframes
• excellent drafting skills, in terms of both quality and speed, whilst maintaining attention to
detail
• enthusiasm and flexible attitude, to adapt quickly to changing priorities and projects
